My name is Rajbir Gill. I had been suffering with lower back pain from long time. On 21st Nov 2009, my pain got really worst and i went to the hospital. I had my MRI there. After loking at my report hospital doctor told me that they can't do anything and therefore I need to seek a specialist. They prescribed my very strong pain killers meanwhile i waited for specialist appointment. My pain was so bad that I was unable to move in any direction. My name is Paul Sandu I am a student of McMaster University. During my last examination period I came down with an injury to my right forearm. This of course was a big issue for me as I was in the middle of exam and I was unable to write. After consulting with University physicians I was diagnosed with Tenosynovitis, a repetitive strain injury usually caused by computer work and writing. I was advised to take nearly a month off to recover which is nearly impossible to do in university without serious academic repercussions. With nothing to lose I opted to be a pincushion if it would help me. The first treatment with Tahir went remarkably well. I am writing this letter in regards to the situation I faced on July 3^rd 2007, an unfortunate day that made me aware of how insensitive and unreliable the Health Care system of Canada has become. Being born and raised in such a beautiful and prosperous country, I never imagined that I would be facing such negligence and neglect by the Health Care system; on a day that I needed their attention and assistance the most. On that day, after getting ready for work, I began to experience excruciating pain on the right side of my stomach, and suddenly collapsed on the floor. Not sure of what just happened or what might be wrong, my parents decided to take me to the nearest emergency walk-in-clinic on Derry and Goreway in Mississauga. We received immediate attention by the staff and Dr. Lei, who assessed my situation and informed my parents that he suspected that it might be my appendix and hat it was crucial that I be taken to the hospital right away. My parents quickly took me to the emergency room at William Osler Health Center in Etobicoke. I began to vomit on the way there, and the pain kept increasing every second.                                                                                                                                                                                                         
   After finally arriving at the hospital at roughly 10 AM, my father provided the administrative staff with the necessary paperwork, and was told to simply wait. The vomiting, severe pain and emotional distress continued to increase, but there was no sign of a single doctor or nurse for any type of assistance. As time progressed, I began to cave onto the cold cement floor from the pain. Every time my father would approach the triage desk about the pain I was facing, he was rudely informed that “everyone that comes here is in pain”, and that there were no beds or doctors available. On top of this, after she began to finally admit my name into the system, I fell onto the floor again from all the pain and could not even sit on the chair. She thoughtlessly informed my parents that until I did not get up and sit on the chair, she will not admit my name into the system. How thoughtless and insensitive can a person be? I can still remember the words, “Someone please help me” coming out of my mouth, but not being heard by any of the medical staff who simply turned their backs on me. Other patients were so concerned and worried about my condition that even they began to approach the desk to request some type of medical assistance. Some of them were so kind that even though they were waiting there longer than I had, they were willing to allow me to go ahead of them. Even then, there were no signs of any help. Finally at roughly 1:30 PM, I was taken to a bed for medical assistance. For three and a half hours, I suffered from the excruciating pain, without any sign of a doctor or even a nurse. I understand that the administration staff at the hospital is continuously faced with a great deal of stress on a daily basis, but the manner in which they rudely addressed the patients is unacceptable. It is their job to provide people who are in critical condition with assistance and care. Even if there were no beds available, if at least a doctor had come outside to check up on my condition, that literally worsened by the second, it would have provided my family with some sort of relief, who had no idea of what was wrong.After finally receiving a bed, the doctors began to perform necessary tests. Although x-rays were completed, the doctors were still unaware about the problem. I was sent home after a couple of hours with necessary medication, and therefore had to come back July 5^th 2007, for a CT scan. Once I completed the mandatory tests, the doctors came to the conclusion that I had a 5mm kidney stone in my right kidney. I was taken to the minor treatment centre, and was informed by the physician there, that I would have to go to the specialist that treats patients with kidney stones. After arriving there, the secretary informed my parents that the specialist doctor was gone on vacation; therefore I would have to wait until July 18^th 2007, for the operation to take place. Furthermore, she simply added that I should have enough pain killers for the next two weeks! I could not believe what I was hearing. Instead of recommending me to another specialist doctor, I was told to wait two weeks before I could get any type of necessary treatment. How could a person suffering excruciating pain  can wait two weeks before they receice medical assistance.

 My father fortunately had known of Dr. Tahir Ahmad, and had his herbal remedies that are able to remove kidney stones through natural methods. We immediately contacted him and he immediately provided me with the great deal of attention and care right away. The vomiting continued to take place but as soon as I reached Dr. Tahir Ahmad’s office, he provided me with an herbal remedy that immediately stopped the vomiting. After that, he prescribed me with the herbal pills that would naturally remove the stone. He guaranteed my parents that within 2-3 days, the stone would come out, and fortunately with God’s grace, the stone came out within 24 hours. The herbal medicine was a miracle for me, as it naturally removed the kidney stone and relieved me of all the pain I was facing. I do not have the words to state how thankful I am to Dr. Tahir Ahmad. His herbal medications truly worked like magic. I am so grateful that we still have some doctors that actually care for their patients. His effort and hard work to save peoples lives through his herbal remedies, but are not giving them a chance. If Dr. Tahir Ahmad’s herbal remedies were acknowledged by the medical system of Canada, the pain and trauma I suffered would have been reduced significantly. 

 Overall, it is so unfortunate that a country like Canada had medical system that is a failure for its citizens. This incident had not only made me angry, but more so upset and in-denial that the Canadian Health System and government that I support and value so much had let my family and I down on a day when we needed their assistance the most. Why do we pay so much tax if we are going to be faced with this type of treatment from the medical facilities? I have lost all the faith and trust in the medical system of Canada after this incident. I hope in the near future, the Health System of Canada will reassess the environment, careless attitudes, long waiting hours, and negligence that patients receive from hospitals, and will ensure that change to made for the better. In addition, it is very important that doctors like Dr. Tahir Ahmad are recognized for the commendable herbal remedies that work wonders on people, and save lives.                                                                                                                                                   Babandeep Singh
